Movie to Consider :::: Blood And Bone

I know it has been a while since I last took the time to post anything, for that I may have cost myself a vast readership. However I am back and I am bringing something that is very important. A film that is smoking fire. This is the reason I am back. They are making films with a real thought process behind them, or so it seems.

I bring to you today Blood and Bone, and production effort from Michael Jai White and his team of producers. For the effort and the medium in which it was released and the budget in mind. This film was well casted and well thought out. I did not find many holes to dissect. From Kimbo Slice to Michael Jai White himself I was impressed and ready for more. The sad part of the film is that it ended, but none the less it ended well.

From start of the film you had this feeling that the film had not real plot, but some how it drew you in far enough, that you had no choice but to watch. Why? The martial arts was explicit and extraordinarily different from the normal  CGI induced action sequence that they attempt to pass off as true fight scenes. This was raw takes with raw kick and honorable punches. The dialog was on par with most films, meaning their was not much, but it was well thought out for the main characters. Some of the other characters were a bit cliche but this is something you do not notice and will not mind. Overall the film itself is well put together and I wished it had more of a budget, I think it would have been a big screen hit.

Michael Jai White it here to stay. And Hollywood needs to take true notice of this guys craft and cast him while he has the ability to bring much to the screen.

Here is the trailer:

Movie to Consider ::: The Human Contract

This weekend to my surprise I found a film that will go into my library, " The human Contract". Written and Directed by Jada Pinkett Smith. This film is a movie that unlocks the varied personification of the human experience, delving deep into the desires of the heart and the same time dissecting it with poetic flare. As you watch it it grips you and causes you to search your own beliefs in what is between a man and a women.

7 Pounds is a heavy weight!

I must begin this by saying this is one Christmas that I will never forget.

Never in my life have I seen a movie in which the entire audience asked the person sitting next to them did you cry. That is something that is beyond me but was warranted in every way possible. As I am sitting there with my head tilted towards the screen all I can think of is WOW and WTF for a lack of a better expression.

7 Pounds was more surprise and less filler, and that is what a film aught to be. Since I began following will smiths career I knew he had it in him to act, but this is beyond film making this is a story that can be read into and will be talked about for years to come.

The humanity in the lead character causes you to look within yourself and begs of you to ask yourself. What have you done as of late to manifest good in other? What have you done to make sure that those around you have fruitful lives? Are you doing everything in your power to give others a chance? Now I do not recommend taking things as far as he has, that is a decision that you will make all on your own. However, I do ask that you take a deep looks into your soul and grab for that which causes you to reflect, and use what you come up with to manifest good in others.

Sitting in the movie theater on Christmas day was not my goal for the day, however, there was a gift given to me that I must re-gift. The only way I know how to do this is to share my respect of this great film. It is unlike anything you have ever seen. It will go down in history and will be a classic, and it will be dissected, and if it is not by some slim margin, I will make it my duty to guarantee this film is never forgotten, you can count my words and believe that for sure.

Will Smith production company speared not ideas in this one. I see Overbrook Entertainment go as far as to being a powerhouse filled with ideas that will make the company just a famous as its head star.

See this film and realize the possibility for our and your own humanity and then pay it forward.

Movie to consider :::: GI JOE SNEAK PEEK ! ! !

For all of you GI JOE Fanatics such as myself I am sure you will enjoy this just as much as I have. So without further ado, allow me to introduce the sneak peek into another soon to be blockbuster.

By way of IGN:

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura took the assembled journalists on a guided tour of the Downey Studios facility, showing off such impressively designed sets as the docking bay for movie villain James McCullen's (a.k.a. Destro) underwater base; the above-ground, arctic cave entrance to said base; the control room for the base, also referred to as the M.A.R.S. (Military Armament Research Syndicate) headquarters; the "doctor's" laboratory where experiments to create enhanced soldiers are conducted; the interior of McCullen's personal submarine, modeled after a Jetstream airplane; the interior of a G.I. Joe submarine; the Urban Combat Level of "The Pit" (G.I. Joe headquarters); and much, much more.

Cast and crew on hand included actors Ray Park (donning the ninja-inspired uniform of Snake Eyes), Channing Tatum (playing Joe leader Duke), Sienna Miller (playing the evil villainess The Baroness), director Stephen Sommers (of The Mummy franchise fame), and producer di Bonaventura. Stay tuned to IGN Movies for our detailed set visit report, as well as interviews with the above-mentioned talent.

Movie to Consider ::: "Valkryie" -Tom Cruise's Nazi to feed off of New American History?

It seem Bryan Singer needs to get a few ducks in a row before he releases "Valkryie," staring the worlds favorite Scientologist, Tom Cruise,as a man who takes on Hitler. It is said the the studio is complaining about the reshoots that took place, which wrapped up its principle photography last year. The film has jumped around release dates quite a bit, from its original release date of June to October.

So what is the reason behind this? Apparently they are attempting to position the film, around the perfect time in hopes to recoup most of the money wasted on principle shooting. Also with Tom Cruises current lack luster image, it is quite possible pushing the date back allows him to do a few good things that will brighten up his now zany, out of this world lunatic, Scientology pushing image.

The studio is calling it; taking advantage of a very patriotic day in America. As reported on Page Six, "Clark Woods, MGM prexy of domestic distribution, said the studio wanted to take advantage of an opening in the schedule for the Presidents Day weekend.''Which the spotlight will be on for that time and less on Tom Cruise.

Get this February 2009...which could be a month after American History is made, if you get my drift. A Nazi war reservist turning on Hitler, with todays current events, a possible African American male or Caucasian American Female, taking power of one of the most influential countries the world has ever known.

You may or may not see what I am getting at, and quite frankly that is a work in progress. However what I was able to come up with in such short notice is all of the subliminal acts at play here. The undertones set around the release is mere genius and anything else would be foolish to do.

This is something that world will feel. With the Domestic American market in which the film will showcase the highlighted need for change, do to our current mind set. If America makes that change wherefore that change can take place during the release of this film! Oh the money that they will reap, and the love for America that we will have. It is "KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE." Economic sense and the going down in history aspect is quite overwhelming to my over active mind. A film about taking out one of the more ruthless, individualistic leaders, ever to rule a land, is symbolic to destroying the invisible demon that has been plaguing the world and America since its foundations has settled.

If you like to speculate; then you know it makes good business sense to push it back this way. I am not one to leave an assumption on the table or this would not be Enterpolics.

Also if you are interested in getting perspective on this actual piece of History Take a look at Operation Valkyrie,

Here is the trailer and I must admit, Tom is doing what he does best. This film looks great!

Movie to consider :: The legend of Zelda

As far back as I can remember I have always wanted to see my favorite video game become a live action feature film. That time has come! The Legend of Zelda is on its way and I am sure that many will flip in joy.

Quick note to production, do not get it wrong, we do not want another crap shoot, work on it and do not just cash in off the franchise name. Get it down to the last key and spare no expense.

Here is the trailer:

Movie not to consider "Zombie Strippers" are you kidding me?

I guess this is not a prank at all and we have a film to look forward to from Jenna Jameson and Good old Robert England (Freddy) of nightmare on Elm Street fame.

This movie seems to be a cross between ,but no comparison to, resident Evil and striptease. It look like it is well put together production wise, but for crying out loud where is the originality in film. I guess this is supposed to make you laugh and scream at the same time.

I guess Spike Lee will be a little more pissed now, since he can not get decent financing for his projects.

Serious folks, I think this is something that I am forced to see, so I will do that and report back. I will let you know if the trailer was the proof or if the script was executed well. Which I doubt, but we will see.

What is this I hear that is may make it to the theaters with as a limited engagement? Maybe it is a little better of there is actually some city or town that will actually take to the streets and see this in public. I will have to join them......aaaaagggghhhhhmmmmmm!

Movie not to consider :::: Angel Lola luv's - 'Crazy like a fox'

I can not recommend this movie no matter how hard I tried. I must warn you this has to be either the least most interesting trailer I have ever seen, and/or the largest waste of money taken to produce a film. I know the Angel " Lola Luv" Melaku, is a pretty, Exotic offering from Ethiopia, and I know she has a body that is out of this world with no comparison. However does that warrant a movie role? This has to be the twilight zone! I am at the point where I will never ever go to the movies again. Then again this movie hits at all the things that happen behind the scenes, that would get something like this green lighted. I don't care that it is independent, it seem that it is independent of creativity, vision, and acting.

I am sure they did not spend much money on the production, filming, etc. However I am hoping that the plot turns out ok. From this trailer I do not have much faith it in at all. Angel is great to look at and I will go to see it for that, but that is about it.

I think she is aiming for the title of; the Ethiopian Marilyn Monroe, Pin up girl extreme, Just stay away from the politicians in office. I think we had enough with Eliot Spitzer and do not even think about the current swinging first lady and governor of NY. They will eat you alive.

Here is the Trailer:

What do you think of it?

Whatever it is that you think of this film or this actress, you will see more of her. She is filming the Wendy Williams biopic " Queen of media." The actress is the highlight of internet rumors and questions about her actual physical makeup. Most do not believe that her back side is authentic, much stipulation revolves around her in the Hip Hop world, and it soon to leak into mainstream thought slowly but surely.

Photos from Vibe magazine photo shoot:

Here is a clip from her vibe magazine interview:

I’m a reckless driver. I’ve had three traffic warrants in three different states since I’ve been driving [laughs]. The fastest I’ve driven is 130 mph, and I think it was a Dodge Charger. I love speeding and cars. I get a serious rush. It’s ridiculous.

I guess she appreciates the fast lane, and if you can keep up, then give it a shot. More on this Video vixen of the year 2007.

Movie to reconsider ::: Mississippi Masala

Mississippi Masala (1992) directed by Mira Nair , with Denzel Washington and Sarita Choudhoury, is one of those rear films; that invite you to take a look at the world we live in. Giving you the opportunity to see how much ideas play a role in the adult minds in society spectrum. This is a movie that is both heart felt and brutally honest.

With so much racial tension that takes place in the south and within the country as a whole, towards those, who are considered less than that of a citizen and those who come to this country to seek exile from such persecution you would think they identify. On the contrary! Strange enough, two different cultures which will peg themselves as two different races, have more in common than less, but somehow find ways to separate themselves from one another. Which is done on the base of misconceptions and lies, put in place to propagate further separation, which only breeds more hate, and dis honesty in their society and in the world as a whole.

It is the underlying hate and dissatisfaction with an oppression that has taken place outside of our generation. And oppression that has seeped into the pores of the masses, and has taken hold of them like a parasite, reemerging well calculated and well fed to reek havoc upon the globe. It is a bad spirit that humanity is slowly begging to confront for as far as I can see it. The global climate is tainted by lies and needs to change.

This film is a lesson to all who see it. No matter your racial classification you should be able to sit back and see this film for what it is, and also see it a metaphor a public service announcement. This film yell out loud, that racism is a man made tool only built on lies, and fear. That idea I think is one that has burned the planet for to many centuries, and needs to have a serious halt in order to see progress for humanity as it is and for what it is, and that is one global community that takes it's likeness from is geographic region.

I do not want to get to preachy and wish for you to enjoy this film, but there is more to this film. This piece of work can be used as a stepping stone to the catalyst humanity needs in order to branch out into a future that can break the false laws that have been put into our social stratosphere. Now I am not saying that this is some sort of end all, and we can become one, but the world will receive more light from the sun if we began the journey of repairing and repaving the roads that we have traveled to get here.

Here take a look at the trailer for the film : Watch

From IMDB :

An Indian family is expelled from Uganda when Idi Amin takes power. They move to Mississippi and time passes. The Indian daughter falls in love with a black man, and the respective families have to come to terms with it. During the British rule in India, many Indians, men and women, were sent to Uganda, Africa, to assist in the making of a railroad. When the railroad was complete, most of the Indians decided to make Uganda their home. Soon they became rich, owned properties and enjoyed a far better standard of living than their Native counterparts. Parents of Indian girls even refused to get them marry Native Africans, and using this as a pretext, General Idi Amin, in November of 1972 made it mandatory for all Asians to leave Uganda, as he wanted Africa to be a "black Africa". One of the displaced family was of Jay, Kinnu and their young daughter, Meena. From Kampala to Greenwood, Mississippi, U.S.A., this family attempted to establish themselves with their relatives, Anil, Jammubhai, Kusum, Chanda, Kanti, and Pontiac. From 1972 to 1990, the three ran a liquor shop, while Meena cleaned Motel rooms and bathrooms. Since Meena has a dark complexion, was often mistaken for a Mexican, Kinnu is unable to find a suitable groom for her. Jay still keeps the hope that one day he will regain his estate in Kampala and return to live there for the rest of his life, and continues to nurse a grudge against the black Africans who had displaced him and taken over his property. Now to make matters worse, Jay gets a rude shock when Anil tells him that Meena is having an affair with a "Kaalu" (Black man) named Demetrius Williams, who runs a business cleaning carpets in Motel rooms. Watch how tensions rise, when salt is rubbed on old wounds, and racism, called "tradition" by some folks in the U.S., raises it's ugly head, perhaps to claim more victims - this time Meena and Demetrius - who may not be able to handle the chain of events started by their love for each other.

Movie to Consider :::: Iron Man Trailer

Now this is looking better each day. To see that Jim Rhodes is being played by one of Hollywood's brightest is even better. Terrence Howard is becoming one of those actors that will be hard to place in a bubble. If he gets the opportunity to expand on the Jim Rhodes Character via War Machine, we may be in a treat for this live action installment of Iron Man.

If you are a true fan of the Comic, you know what I am speaking of, when it comes to expanding on War Machine, it also means that Tony Starks will be expanded upon, and that means more money in the bank for the producers if they can pull it together and offer up a great screen play. They has made changes to adapt closer to reality and Changed Sgt. Fury ethnicity is one of them, but I guess they see the correlation in Samuel L. Jacksons Approach to acting and is willing to gamble on it.
