Southern Arizona is heating up, around a time of the year when the weather has cool down from the normal 100 or above Fahrenheit, for a winter season that you find in very few places. Recently reported, talk show host Montel Williams will call it quits after 17 successful years on air. Mr. Williams will be replaced by his earlier years in put in rotation, and syndicated as usual.

Los Angeles- International Pop sensation Britney spears has been committed to a California psychiatric ward, early Thursday. The Pop Star had been "driving around her neighborhood like a mad woman," and refused to take her medication,it was reported.
The pop star is on a "Mental health evaluation hold" at the UCLA Medical center, the Los Angeles Timed reported.
The drama went down around 4 a.m. New York time when cops on motorbikes and a fire department ambulance rushed onto the grounds of Spears' gated Studio City mansion.
Once inside, Britney is said to have gone easily, without a struggle.
"The package is on the way," cops radioed once Spears was in hand, the Times reported.
People.com reported that Spears' mom, Lynne, friend Alli Sims, manager Osama Lutfi were all there and The Times said that cops were called in by Spears' psychiatrist.
What followed was a made-for-paparazzi spectacle: the international superstar was escorted down Coldwater Canyon Boulevard by a dozen motorcycle cops, two squad cars - and two police helicopters!
The Times reported that the line of emergency vehicles "stretched longer than a football field."
There have been several reports that Britney's family was looking to get her intensive psychological help, perhaps by holding an intervention. It seems as her family pulled the trigger on the plan to get her help after her latest bizarre behavior.
"She was driving around her neighborhood like a mad-woman," says a Spears family source. "Britney has been prescribed medication which she refuses to take. This is just another sad, sad evening."

Lutfi told ABC's Barbara Walters that Spears has been unable to sleep and is distraught because she can't see her tots - Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2. A judge has granted ex-husband Kevin Federline temporary full custody of the two and demanded Britney get psychological help.
"There is no question she is bipolar... she's had manic episodes for years," a source told People.

The show needs for celebrities to be at the show, and picket lines would prevent the possibility, and ruin a large part of the show; which is to see all of your favorite stars in the same place and supporting one another. The attendants would have been reluctant to cross picket lines, in support of the writers, picketing the show.

The writers’ decision not to picket followed a move by two music unions to rally to the defense of the Grammy program. Patric M. It seems as the world becomes painstakingly jaded, more so than it has been the past. The entertainment industry show less concern with the mental welfare of our children. The movies have become a social indicator as to which direction our society is taking and how far we are willing to go to entertain.
With war being the centerpiece of human existence you have movies such as Rambo, Shows such as TV's Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles and talk shows with no concern for the kids that are home on break.
Movies that are unadulterated and relentless in the pursuit of blood and guts are the norm. It is no longer about dialog that matters, it is, merely focused on the amount of money that can be earned in a single weekend.
Make no mistake about it, I enjoy these movies, but I want to point out that this is the path in which is being taken, by the head minds in the studios. That is why every B-movies that sucks is usually a knock off action movie, attempting to give you a percentage of the Rambo Tally, just to cash in. It is not about the creative nature of the literature that creates the virtual universe we call motion picture.
Art does not imitate life as it once did, it is now the other way around. Innovators are few, creativity is lacking, and the dollar controls the art. So the latter may be the overall cause behind the lack of originality. Although we had a great year, this year, and far better than its been in a long while. However the material, is not as original as it once was. outside of the great work, Michael bay done on Transformers,Alongside Steven Spielberg, which was a visually stunning and technical marvel,along with philosophy that can rival that of Star wars.
No what we are getting is more gun shots and less reason, Glamor shots with no rhyme nor reason. Dialog watered down to either be Politically correct and by the time it is revealed to the masses it does what it set out not to do.
I will call this the Rambo Tally, because many are wounded and it is all for show, if no one stops to assist those in bringing true art to the screen. Hollywood needs to take true risk again, and reinvent and knock out the BS.

It would seem that with a career that has been less than stellar outside of Destiny Child; Kelly Rowland would work a tad bit harder on creating a new sound and look. She can start by accepting that the only things in Beyonce's shadow that can make it do what it do,is the actual shadow.

With vocal coaching and some added dance steps to liven up the show, she should be able to redeem her solo efforts. Son of Marlon Brando of the Godfather Movies fame has passed on due to trouble with pneumonia. The actor died at the Los Angeles presbyterian hospital.
Christian Brando, 49, played very small roles in a hand-full of movies, but did not strike the fame that his father has. He is known to be more infamous, due to his run in with the law and a five year stay in prison for manslaughter.

The Numbers are in and the word is out. Presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama has won the primary race in South Carolina last night by a landslide victory. Senator Obama, grossed 53%, Hillary, 27%, Edwards 19%.
Very impressive for Obama especially in light of the mudslinging that has taken place in the recent debates. For the Senator this is regained, much needed momentum, to keep tapping at the heals of all the candidates. Keeping the forum for change open and relevant.
Obama gave the state and country a thorough Victory speech:
"The choice in this election is not about regions or religions or genders. It's not about rich vs. poor, young vs. old and it's not about Black vs. White. It's about the past vs. the future."
