American Idle :::: Mentalpolics :::: Why do some many people want it?

Many individuals have come up to me and asked all the familiar questions pertaining to breaking in the business. In response; I always had some sort of canned quote, or statement, that sends them on their merry way, filled with joy. However I am finding much discontent in that. I think the time has come to make and attempt to reveal to them an answer that is tailored to them and to what the question is implying. So in order to do that I would have to take the time out to get to know them a little before I answer. Since we live in a society that moves several blaring steps faster than most can think, it may be a hard task. One that I will brave, but it will be a journey none the less.

So what do I do now? Do I answer with some false idea of stardom and true artistry? Do I allow them to see the exact same things that I see? Do I presume their position or assume their thoughts? When it come to entertainment, the reasons why people want to be apart of it are blatantly covering the surface of the industry. What is mistaken however, is the false sense of power and security. Many do not see that there are pitfalls and must have the resilient nature to withstand the roar of the crowd, the snaps of the photographers, the articles delving into private matters, and the secrets of past life surfacing. For many it is not a publicity stunt, and even if it is, it has spiraled out of control.


From what I have seen so far in American life I begun to accept that there is no true concept of stardom, that it comes from within and that it is what you make it. However they're some individuals in the spotlight that may seem to like stardom but truly are the epitome of mediocrity a troop of shooting stars, you see them now, but when they pass they will be gone forever. In saying that; I am taking this section to a new height of my attempts at understanding the Politics behind entertainment. I hope in this walk, Enterpolics can shed light on the darkness that is plaguing the awesome creative worlds of entertainment.

In saying all of this I hope that I myself can begin to evaluate the meaning behind stardom and share with the world the myth and the fact that provides you the life of a celebrity outlaw.

In hopes that all of us who have some duty to the public to create; good art, information, and entertainment will come to terms with the possibility that all politics will shift, if those who want it bad enough are willing to shift it. Lets all work together to demand great art, and they will have no other choice but to provide quality art.

Hoolywood Truth :::: Jamie Lee Curtis - Gray is more than growing old

Every chance I get to tell my girlfriend that a woman that embraces her evolution with be sexier than one that tries to hide it. I am pleased that their are women out there that are willing to show you all they have while being gray. I think in general all should embrace their age and do what they can to stay in shape.

In people today, Jamie lee Curtis has dropped her top and is on a mission to show older women than it is her state of mind that shows age more so than any gray hair on her head. That make sense to me since I find women who embrace their growth in all direction from head to toe, are ten times more attractive than those who persist to hide it.


Many gentlemen will be there in the morning if who he went to bed with is who he went home with. This goes for both the young and the old. Too many women feel the need to pack on way to much fraudulent additives that throw men for a loop. This way of thinking and action, end up back firing on the women, who live by this philosophy. I am not saying that a woman should not take care of herself, but I am saying that in all essence she should learn how to take care of the natural before adding on false aesthetics, makeup, and the list goes on. Men will learn to take you for who you are and the world will learn to live outside of the lie, that a women needs makeup to be beautiful it is just a enhancer not a cover up, so for those who cake it on their face, you are no fooling any one but yourself.

Bump Forward ::::: Man Found Dead on Mel Gipsons Property

Reported by several sources, including E news stating today earlier on today Friday March 21, 2008, stating that a man working on the property of Mel Gibson has hung himself. This is the going ons, in a post by Hollywood Today, which stated the police believe that construction worker has committed suicide by hanging himself. The worker was constructing one of the two sites that the star has yet to occupy.

The victim a 48, year old, gentleman, has been identified as Michale John Van Dyke, found dead by his supervisor in the unfinished home located in the Agoura Hills section of Los Angeles county. Representatives have yet to make a statement on Mel Gibson's Behalf As this may be a tremendous shock for the star and he has many other issue that he has been dealing with as of late.

Detective Eddie Brown said: "Detectives along with paramedics arrived at the scene and the gentleman was pronounced dead on arrival. Cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles Coroner's office."

According to police sources, the corpse was in "full-body rigor-mortis" when it was found and the hanging could have occurred on Tuesday night.

Gibson, 52, is best known for his roles in movies such as; the Lethal Weapon franchise, "Mad Max", "Braveheart", The patriot. He is known world wide for directing the "Passion of the Christ" which set box office records for a religion based film and has garnered just has much controversy for what many to believe to be anti-semitic undertones.

As of late Mel Gibson has be extending his hand in friendship to pop star Britney Spears, having lunch withe her not too long ago. So for something like this to happen has the possibility to have an effect on more than just him and those in which her cares for. So lets just hope that Mel Gibson handles this matter with a Brave heart, no pun intended.

Britney Spears and her cars soon to part...but which ones?

If it is not one thing it is the next. It seems for Britney spears Murphy's Law is something that can not be escaped. She is not alone as many Americans and the people around the globe share in her woes. However for Britney she has worked so hard to be exempt from civilian status. However as time goes on it seems that she will be driving only one or two cars and her father has the right to sell them do to his current conservator-ship. This is a power he will maintain until a court hearing July 31st.

However that looks, the state is granting her father the right to do this. On Monday the power has been granted to Mr. Spears, and he can be selling off any number of her cars and it is not clear as to which one will be sold. From the statements made it looks as it will be a mix of the ones that are most expensive to maintain and the ones she does not need at this time.

Bottom line, in my opinion, the cost of her fleet is enormous and she does not have the requisite income to cover these expenses with out proper income coming in. Her album is not doing well enough for her and she is spending old money which can deplete her net worth to a point of nor recover. When you are getting a $1,500.00 a week granted out of your own monies, which is not the mass of your fortune it is a sure sign your fortune is depleting and Britney can not afford that to happen.

A court spokesman clarified that the pop star's $1,500 a week allowance "is not her only source of (personal) income," however failed to lay out other sources. Even if she has other sources, what is being allowed to her at this time appears to be a sign of person pitfall.

I wish Britney well and I hope in the coming years she will be able to regain her status and mental capacity. It does not matter which cars you lose, you will regain those and more, just get focused and regain your composure and show the world, the strength in the Spears name.

Since J LO gave birth on February 22, 2008, the world has been wondering what Jennifer Lopez was up to, and what does those twins look like. Now we have the actual picture of her children, the first time mom sat down for a photo and the world is now proud pseudo God Parents.

People has furnished a look into the new life of the twins Max and Emme, who will undoubtedly have a life that is royal. Mother Lopez glowing beyond words in this is a rare look into Jennifer Lopez as a person, a mom, and a citizen of humanity.

Movie To reconsider :::: Shadow Boxer

Ever since Cuba Godding Jr. began doing quirky films I began to wonder if he had it in himself to do films that broadened his range. I was wrong and immature in my perception. So what; he, threw on a dress, and took a boat trip! As far as acting is concerned he did a good job, it was just a film that did not interest my taste. However being that I am putting together this section I took some time out to review his films and realized that lets see if he does the film that will bring that about. So what he should do is leave the Daddy day (anything) camp to Eddie Murphy.

When you have gems like ShadowBoxer which is an all around film that has floated under radar. With a plot offering something; that very few films offer. The ability to offer up raw cinematography with great acting, coupled with simplistic, raw, unadulterated directing.

In my opinion studios need to focus on the literature before the cinema and make a great translation. All too often it gets lost!

Leave the big budget at home, give me a great piece with acting that is consistent. Although I do enjoy my big budget blockbusters, but when it is called for. There is nothing I hate more than a dressed up script that should have hit the trash.

Here you have a film about hidden redemption that drags you in way into the last frame leaving you begging for more. With Gangsters and Assassins going head to head in a film that breaks out the mold, all the while offering you a theme that is not to far off base. This a is a cultural piece of art, that has a diverse range in presenting characters that are multi layered and interesting.



The Film stars, Helen Mirren, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Ferlito, Macy Gray, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, with Monique and Stephen Dorff, directed by Lee Daniels. This cast of characters make up a raw diversity with out over emphasizing it. It is the next generation in film making and it the element in film making that is missing. Seeing actors work together with common interest, and characteristics, is opening the door to an equilibrium that will shatter stereotypical concepts, attaching them to one group or another. Barriers have been broken with this film, no matter how subtle.

It seems Lil' Wayne Rapper from New Orleans has lost all of his marbles from the overuse of drugs illegal and over the counter. Now I tried my best to stay away from this guys issues but at what point do you step in to say something? I think to answer that question, it should have been a long time ago when it comes to young Mr. Carter.

When you begin to wander around on stage during your own concert. It is evident your brain is fried, and those around you are not doing a good job at helping you up.

Do not discount that he makes really good Hip Hop music that you can listen to, however someone needs to intervene in this guys life. I does not look like his so called daddy Baby is doing a good job and did more to influence this guy into the wrong direction.

Lil'Wayne I love you music, and your talent is tremendous and you can do rap thing without all the drugs. Take some time to clean yourself up. So that the generations to come can hand you your lifetime achievement award instead of some memorial service that the world will forget. You are successful, but you still have a mark to make. Nahla Ariela Aubry is one beautiful name. I could not think of that one and apparently it took both Halle and Gabriel some time to come up with one on Sunday night after delivering. Then again they did not want to know the sex of the child until it was born.

Berry, 41, tells Access Hollywood, "We didn't have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital." I guess it took some time for them to come to terms that they brought a new life into the world and one that will have a beautiful life as well. With a name like that Nahla, she will be pinged constantly for face time from the media. Just ask the Jolie-Pitt, Cruise, and Pinkett-Smith clans, they can tell you first hand what it is like. What ever it may be, this is a wonderful thing, and they have made my day.

Prominent Magazine premiered this month hitting book store magazine racks with a mission. The magazine decided to display their affection for singer/Pop Star Rhianna. Being this their first issue I wanted to give you an opportunity to see for yourself the magazine outlay so when you get an opportunity hop on down to your local magazine stand rack or book store and tell me what you think.

This first issue is void of Ad's so it is a good opportunity to see what an uncut magazine looks like. Not saying there is no fluff but it is virtually void of Advertisement and by the way they are looking for advertisers so if you have the budget why not stop by, if you have a product you believe in.

I am not a Scientologist proclaims Will Smith

Actor/Producer Will Smith Proclaimed recently that he is no Scientologist, also stating "I am a Christian," the 39-year-old added. "I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths."

Recently the rumor has been circulating, stating, the actor has been heavily involved with the cult like church. With his close relationship to Tom cruise, and his family. The press has began to speculate that Will Smith may be a Scientologist or soon to be one. The actor stated a few things, that make perfect sense. "You don't have to be Jewish to be a friend of Steven Spielberg. You don't have to be a Muslim to be a friend of Muhammad Ali. And you don't have to be a Scientologist to be a friend of Tom Cruise," the actor told the New York Daily News Tuesday.


However all can rest assured that if Will Smith, is doing something he will tell you in his due time. For Americas favorite actor it is hard to see him make decisions with out us, but lets face it he is his own person that just happen to belong to the publics imagination, like so many other entertainers like him and before him.

Will Smith has been thrust into major success and has not been able to look back since, he may be a student of all religions, but in the end you are a citizen of one. I think in due time his ability to confuse will come to a state of clarity for us. Again Tom Cruise is his friend and they compliment each other with their powerful presence and family values. They are the Hollywood neighbors with out living next door to one another.

So folks lay off the hype.

"Have some class" ::: Toccara your nuts!

This is beyond flying off the handle I agree with Evil beet on this one, and Someone should throw her a chocolate bar. Evil beet mused, "She needs to have a chocolate bar or something. She does look like she’s lost a ton of weight. All that hunger is going to her damn head." Toccara lost it with the judges on celebrity Fit club...simply lost it.

With Toccara's limited vocabulary and lack of mental capacity, she seems to have lacked words with tact. However I can be wrong on this one and she is simply working her way up to becoming the Americas Next Omarosa. Although this is taking it a step further by belligerently cursing out the judges with out the poise of a woman/lady, needed to pull it off and have on lookers on your side. Then again, Toccara is tired of crying... right? She is ready to fight back, and who best to fight with the people who helped her lose some of the weight that bothers her so.

No matter the case, she look great and is becoming quite the looker, but as long as she sounds like a box of rocks. I do not know if I can take her serious. Tell me am I wrong for feeling this way?

I am so excited and I have no clue as to why. Since People broke the news I was doing imaginary cartwheels through town. It is not my child, but lets face it, I live vicariously through GABRIEL AUBRY, one of the luckiest men on the planet. Need I say more? Fact of the matter is, I pulled him to the side eons ago and asked of him this favor and he has allowed me this baby girl and a girlfriend of the highest caliber. Thanks Gabriel, you are awesome. Lucky Bastard( no insult intended..none should be taken). Yourself and that Pitt fella is quite on the lucky side of the coin, heads or tails, it is clear the side you picked landed in your favor. Congratulations Gabriel and Halle you guys deserve this.

Movie to reconsider ::: U Turn {1997}

Sean Penn, Jennifer Lopez, John Voight, Powers Boothe, Joaquin Phoenix, Claire Danes, Nick Nolte, Billy Bob Thornton, and Liv Tyler to top it all off. Running down such a list of names on a virtually unknown film almost sickens me that such a gem went unnoticed.

In my opinion I think this was the return of Sean Penn as an actor, the SP that grabbed our attention in Carlitos way, and Dead man walking. Not that he did a film in between, but showing that he can obtain the acting consistency needed to keep a good name in Hollywood, that will keep an actor bankable.

Jennifer Lopez revealed something that many were unable to see and I can not spoil that with words. I only hope that your motion picture acumen is one that has the eyes to see when an actor is applying new levels to their acting. "Growth" is the word I am looking for.

Not only is this a film with such high caliber actors, we have a grand storyline to boot. One with many twist and turns that will keep you guessing all the way to the end. This film is watching a game with the score bouncing back and fourth until there is a tie, and it ends up in overtime. Hoping that your home team or your favorite player achieving that winning shot to take home to trophy.

However you wish to look at this film you will not look at this list of actors, the same way ever again. This will give you a chance to absorb the range they hold inside. Oliver Stone tends to have that effect on those in which he directs. If you think this is a bad recommendation, you know what to do, leave me a comment, but I think you would thank me once you get the full essence of the film. "Expect the Unexpected," a five star thriller that delivers, an "American Classic".

MentalPolics - Mindjuice :::: Def Poetry Jam

MentalPolics - Mind Juice is a response section to thoughts and ideas that are presented to me. The very nature of mental workings, that I come across, which breed further exploration of the ideas or familiar questions.

In this particular post it is a direct supplemental thought on humanities lack of originality. A lack of stringing together words, or misusing a multitude of words with out understanding of it origin or the often deficit of vocabulary.

So I give you in response to that a clip from Def Poetry Jam. With poets; Taylor Mali "Like Lilly Like Wilson", Adele Givens "That Shit Ain't Funny", Kevin Coval "My g-dself Loose".

The last two poets are a treat in of themselves that will give you a more universal insight to the musing behind the thoughts of others. I only ask that you comment on this section as much as possible and feel free to leave your ideas and opinions at my mercy. I will treat them with respect in hopes to make this section more efficient and robust so that you can enjoy my musings along with my take on Entertainment and how I feel the entire thing is interconnected in the grand scheme of life.
