The Universal meaning behind JRU

Here at the JRU ( I will often call it the Univeristy), I must do every thing to offer a wide variety of topics. My job is to give you a sense of the universal mind set that I have as a person. In the past I was not too sure what I wanted to offer. All I wanted to do was get to writing. So I have been quite scattered. I have had some hits, and many misses. Now that I know what people appreciates and look for in what I do. I can not only be myself, I can expand in many areas as I wish.

It is time to create the sections that will paint the picture of who I am and what I pay attention to. From Art, to reality, literature,

Since I am not longer stuck as a person. I want nothing more than to share with the world what I am. This is my 15, minutes, hours, years, decades (I am aiming for).

I do not know any of you our there, however I hope that in time around, I get to know you guys as you follow my journey. JRU is all about my universal thoughts. I will no longer focus on one theme, idea, or area of interest. This blog will be bits and pieces of what I see as the world around me-us.

JRU will be the new home to the new school of living. If you are with the movement. Then join me. Every one of us has a school within. Are you teaching? Are you sharing? Are you giving? Are you learning? What is your school? Is it part of the universal systems or is it against it?

Here is a taste of what I think about in the form of music:

NAS ' If I ruled the World'

Common 'Retrospect for life'

Saul Williams 'Coded Language'

The Alchemist: How to conquer when you have nothing left!

POETRY CORNER :::: Def Poetry - Julian Curry - Niggers, Niggas & Niggaz

Every once in a while a poet comes along that has the ability to educate you. In the midst of our applause a light sparks on and our hearts change, for but a moment
we are enlightened. Wether we maintain that truth or bring about some aspect of change in our lives, that is subject to the scrutiny of time.

Julian Curry has allowed us into a mind consolidated on an era that has us deadlocked. Pay attention you may learn something. This is my sunday preach.

Poetry corner :::: Suheir Hammad 'Def poet'

As the world turns that long awaited truth begins to spread its wings. As honest warriors welcome it, the sun begins to shine brighter. Although the earth seems warmer, those with warm hearts only realize there home is becoming one with them.

MentalPolics - Mindjuice :::: Def Poetry Jam

MentalPolics - Mind Juice is a response section to thoughts and ideas that are presented to me. The very nature of mental workings, that I come across, which breed further exploration of the ideas or familiar questions.

In this particular post it is a direct supplemental thought on humanities lack of originality. A lack of stringing together words, or misusing a multitude of words with out understanding of it origin or the often deficit of vocabulary.

So I give you in response to that a clip from Def Poetry Jam. With poets; Taylor Mali "Like Lilly Like Wilson", Adele Givens "That Shit Ain't Funny", Kevin Coval "My g-dself Loose".

The last two poets are a treat in of themselves that will give you a more universal insight to the musing behind the thoughts of others. I only ask that you comment on this section as much as possible and feel free to leave your ideas and opinions at my mercy. I will treat them with respect in hopes to make this section more efficient and robust so that you can enjoy my musings along with my take on Entertainment and how I feel the entire thing is interconnected in the grand scheme of life.

Enjoy the video then return reading to my regularly scheduled ranting!

Movies to reconsider ::: Love Jones

The image “http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/allposters/79/1800023179p.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Love Jones is a movie that needs to be reconsidered an reissued to the masses. With a complexing and eloquently played script, you will not be dissapointed. Love Jones is set against a Jazz backdrop with Droplets of poetic twist and turns. All the while exploring the passionate and intellectual side to love, it allows you vicarious survival instinct and means to loves exploration. The approach that the director has taken, give the characters depth and a unrelenting approach to the art form. Make no mistake -- this film offers elements of entertainment and political correctness in director Theodore Witcher's offering of multi-layered African-American characters. If comparisons must be made, Love Jones compares to the best in Woody Allen's Annie Hall and Manhattan, as those films explore desire and passion through words in addition to physical attractions. Recommend this film to the scores of film-goers who missed its limited theatrical release -- better yet, serve it up as a first course conversation starter during your next gathering with friends. It's sure to spark equally passionate discussion, and that's always a good thing. Also Staring: Isaiah Washington Lisa Nicole Carson Bill Bellamy Leonard Roberts Bernadette L. Clarke Khalil Kain
