No Stopping him ::: JAY-Z gets global leadership award

Many tend to forget that this guy has been planting himself in a positive position for some time now. That position has granted him the opportunity to be the recipient of the Global Leadership award and that is what he achieved.

Now he did not do it for the accolades he has enough of that he did it for small villages with out the proper facilities. So that they can enjoy fresh water.  Better known to those who actually follow his work off stage as the "water for Life" initiative.

Congratulations Mr. Carter I know where you been.

Here is a look at the chronicled look into what bread this cause.

What Beef?

The media is audacious with its ability to hype something beyond what it really is. I have seen this ability placed into the home of all the world. From the US to the UK, the media is a giant the does not sleep, and is far from gentle. In Mass media, special interest stories are a back drop the often over indulged wrongly chronicled bad news and gossip.

However it is nice that for once we have a story that we can move on to the next stage of life. Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter and Noel Gallagher, end there bore of a feud. Which I think was more about opinions, turned into events that, for some reason people thought mattered, because of the caliber or its perpetrators.

Here is a random thought from Noel Gallagher:

"I’ve hung out with Jay-Z in Tokyo. I’ve seen his show. It’s not
my bag, but it’s all right. We have a mutual friend in Chris Martin. So
I am a guy who doesn’t like hip-hop — shock, horror. I don’t dislike
rappers or hip-hop or people who like it. I went to the Def Jam tour in
Manchester in the ’80s when rap was inspirational. Public Enemy were
awesome. But it’s all about status and bling now, and it doesn’t say
anything to me."

New Ventures and more money :::: Jay-Z merging the Roc Name?

There is a buzz as stated on Bossip. Jay-Z is said to be headed in the direction of new ventures, that will merge two continents and sounds.

Read up:

Jay-Z has reportedly launched a new label, adding to his long list of
businesses. This one is called StarRoc and was formed with producers
Stargate. According to overseas media, Stargate is a Norwegian duo
consisting of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen, both of which
have produced for several superstar artists, specifically crafting
Beyonce’s hit “Irreplaceable” and Ne-Yo’s “So Sick.” Reports indicate
that the producer duo have relocated their studio to Jay-Z’s
Manhattan-based Roc The Mic studios.

That is the ching in every cash register and the green in all haters eyes. So Jigga wave to them like Maino would.

I see $$$ Signs in Jay Z's future...

...but does he? It seems there are rampant stories lining the eyes of the internet stalkers. From one end I here that he may sell the club or at least a piece of the action to the Las Vegas Sands Corp., then on the other, I here that it may shut down in total because it is not making enough money. So what is the deal. Someone get back to me and let me know.

Either way I see it this will not go down with out skeptics and lost souls wandering and wondering what Shawn Carter will do next.

" My best tour ever"

Shawn Carter is not only a savvy business man, but I think he goes by the name Jay-Z, when he is entertaining those who wish to watch. So as I have it, he thinks that his alter ego has done the best work ever, in terms of touring the globe.

Although he has stirred quite the controversy since he touched stage at Glastonbury, which is a British Rock festival. He has been on a roll ever since and has not slowed down. According to Jay-Z, he has delivered the goods. Not only that but he feels that this is his best run ever, which will continue until he hits all his stops in Europe.

I know now that he has something to say, the critics will be watching just to see a flaw or two. However I know the jigga-man will reign supreme.

Words Spoken by a true OG ::: Jay-Z

My two cents : Jay-Z is the epitome and prototype of what all rappers rap about. However I would like to add that, most rappers are afraid to speak their minds and say it out loud, that they want to get as far away from the hood as possible. However because they fear the beat down or worse, their mouths are shut or saying the opposite. Also I think it is a mental prison that they can not see. It is good that the hood has someone such as Jay-Z to look up to. To aspire beyond their limits and break down barriers.

I hope that by saying this. The few that heard it will begin to spark the brain of those who will carry on the mission of revamping the mind set of the African American youth and African American Adult.

Here is what he has to say:

"I think it’s more important for me to be in touch with
who I am than in touch with the streets, per se,’ he says. ‘Being in
touch with the streets, keeping it real, that’s become a lie and a
cliche. I’m not hanging on the corner in the Bed-Stuy. I hate it when
rappers say, “I’m keeping it ‘hood.” I’m like, “Why? What do you mean?
No one’s there by choice! You’re in the hood, by choice?”‘

Bling he feels was misinterpreted by the media as tasteless showing
off, when really it was a celebration of success by people who had
enjoyed precious little of that before. ‘These people came from
nothing,’ he says. ‘No-thing. The bottom. And when they got money and
cars and houses it was a party. Like, us being here, at the
Lanesborough, eating caviar? That just didn’t happen before. Why not
celebrate that?"

Thanks to Bossip I was able to bring this to you guys.

I just had to do it....

When Jay-z popped his head out at Glastonbury and begin his show paying homage to Oasis. I gained ten times more respect for him, and in comparison for the amount that I previously held for him, that is a heck of a lot of respect to give.

Now I know this subject is several weeks old, but this is legendary in terms of the amount of notoriety that gained. This will forever be one of the largest venues to blow open the doors the way that it has.

RESPECT IS DUE TO THE GREATEST HIP HOP GENERAL TODAY FOR BRINGING BACK OLD MEMORIES WITH WONDERWALL BY OASIS.

There is no other way to put it. It is my blog damn it and I can do as I please and Oasis has made a home here. No bias on my side of town, is there any on yours? If so you just dont get it, now do you?

When Rap Evolves :::: Jay-Z Glastonbury 2008 Wonderwall Oasis cover 99 Problems

I am simply blow away by this performance from Jay-Z. If I said anymore than that I would have to write a book and neither you or I have that time to spear. So I would like this short clip to show you what I felt. You will see an artist behind the artist and your mind will finally connect the dots on who this guy really is. Perhaps In short, his greatness is undeniable. Even if he is a man amongst men, he is the King of Musical lyrics and performance.

Now many of you may have heard about the hype suronding the artist formerly knowins as Jay-Z. Shawn Carter almost did not make it on that stage. However I am not one to repeat the facts. I rather give it to you from a source I respect.

There’s been a lot of controversy concerning Jay-Z being a Glastonbury headliner, notably from Noel Gallagher who told BBC News “I’m sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance”, which is the first thing we hear as cut-together video clips light up the big screens and the faces of the thousands who have turned up to watch.

Jay-Z walks on stage wearing a Gallagher style parka and begins with a tongue-in-cheek cover of ‘Wonderwall’, which the crowd duly sing and sway along to. There is a tentative mood hanging in the air as to how he will be received but, as he energetically launches into ‘99 Problems’, everyone screams, hands go up and you hear a chorus of people shouting word perfect lyrics back at the stage.

Jay-Z mishmashes old classic hits from Hard Knock Life, The Blueprint and The Black Album and hits us with specially written rhymes about Glastonbury, the aftermath of New Orleans, George W. Bush and Barack Obama (“It’s time for a change!” he announces as onscreen Bush’s face is replaced by Obama’s) - it’s cleverly written, amazingly performed and all to rapturous applause and cheers.

“Do the ladies here like American men?” asks Jay-Z, the ladies (and men) show their appreciation while Estelle’s ‘American Boy’ kicks in and Jay-Z rocks the mic over the top, he also performs over Amy Winehouse’s ‘Rehab’ and Rhianna’s ‘Umbrella’, so if you’re having trouble rapping along with him there’s always something you can sing along to. He’s a superstar and one of the best rappers in the world. Actually, scrap that – THE best rapper in the world!

His lyrics are intelligent, well written and as he spits them into the mic the pace of his rapping gets faster and faster, almost to the point of being indecipherable, and you wonder why he’s not passing out as he’s still going strong minutes after anyone else would be gasping for air.

If people still think Jay-Z doesn’t belong at Glastonbury they are wrong. He’s one of the best performers in the world and Glastonbury is lucky to have him.

Callie Middlemiss

Update*** I am going to give you all of it.

From the bottom to the top ::: 3 SEWING MACHINES AND A MIC.....

A time existed when struggle appeared to be all you will ever have and that you had no way out. A time when you struggled and stayed in the same cesspool you fought to swim out of. That time is long gone! Although it may seem that you have to struggle and that you are struggling and are making close to no scratches against time and plan. You have to persevere and beat out all odds, you have to apply your dream, if you do not have one wake up and think very hard about what it was like when you were sleeping. Out of that you will be able to find your dream, your focus, your goals.

Jay-Z is the epitome of someone that has awaken from a slumber in the ghetto. To riches beyond imaginations. He has broken expectations, others and his own. He has broken down barriers once put up to stop someone like him. He continues to grow and seek out opportunity so that he can give back to the world around him.

All of this started with a Microphone, and a vision of rocking out stages across the city known as New York. Sure there were pitfalls and times it did not seem as if the artist known as Jay-Z would ever make it. You will face it to. However if you don't stop and stay focused you too, can take your dream far.

Remember folks with ambitions, tenacity, perseverance, goals, vision, and plan, anything you want will be yours. For Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, it started with the Microphone, moved into 3 sewing machines, then the rest is reality. History is being made, where will you leave your mark?

Here is a clip from Jay-Z on the couch with PBS personality Tavis Smiley:

Its Official ::: Jay Z and Beyonce are one

With all of the buzz surrounding this you would think that they would have held out a bit longer. I was getting quite used to the speculation on their marriage. It was becoming good for my creativity.

It is confirmed by people magazine and according to them they filed for their wedding license on Friday in Scarsdale New York.

Is it all true or is it not?

Would they just say something already

Between Beyonce flashing her diamonds and Mary J. Blige shouting the couple out at her concert, we are all at odd with the are they or are they not questions, pertaining to the possible marriage of Rapper Jay-Z and Singer Beyonce Knowles. I am about to lose my mind if someone does not say something. I need to know whether or not I have the option to pursue a relationship with Beyonce or not. I do not want to go in and attempt a win if I am going to lose because she is married.

As it was reported on People, it seems that Jay is the only one keeping things under wraps at this point. However I am not the spin doctor, I will leave that to People, in which they stated:

Beyoncé happily flashed a whopping hunk of diamond on her left-hand ring finger Tuesday night at her new husband's concert with Mary J. Blige at Atlanta's Phillips Arena. Wearing a short black dress and big hoop earrings, the newlywed singer sat in a VIP area with buddy Usher. The two leaped to their feet to groove hard when Jay-Z launched into his hit "PSA," with its lyrics, "I got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain."

What do you guys think about the rumors? At this point you end us reading things like this, which continues to perpetuate the questions.

"On Monday night, Jay-Z celebrated without his wife – or a wedding ring – at his 40/40 club in Manhattan, where he cheered for Memphis during the NCAA men's basketball championship game with friends including rapper Tru Life."

Jays Evasion of questions give you answers along the lines of, "I don't know what you're talking about!" he said with a laugh when congratulated by patrons.

Mary J Blige lets the cat out the bag?

Although Jay-Z and Beyonce attempted to keep things as hush as possible. Others did not have the same restraint in giving the two the time to bask in the new glow of marriage.

Back on tour Jay-Z did not leak his thoughts to the crowd, but we can not say the same for Mary J. Blige who may have hinted to the marriage being official by shouting out, "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B," then went on to sing, "You're All I Need." I guess that is the biggest admittance we are going to get for a while. So we may as well soak it up and deal with it.

If it is all true, Congratulations from Enterpolics.

Are they or are they not Married?

Jay-Z and Beyonce need to do us a huge favor and end the speculation with the outright truth. The time has come that we the people in their kingdom of the United States, need to know if they are Mr. and Mrs. Knowles-Carter.

I have been keeping my eye on this since the marriage license, for the past three days, since then every day it gets becoming more intriguing, from champagne bottles and flower arrangements , to Jay-Z Ordering his security detail to black bag the windows because the paps are on the roof. I see this a a strong possibility but with out knowing it is just on my part and opportunity to strong insanity. So someone tell someone something already.

As far as the NyDaily News and People, speculation has led to hints, that led to more speculating. No one is getting a straight answer as to whether or not the couple got married and the festivities are in celebration in what has happened. However with Pop and Mom Knowles showing up, along with Hollywood A-Lister Gwyneth Paltrow, R&B royalty and hit maker Rodney Jerkins, you begin to wonder what is all the commotion could be about. Either he has ran for president of the independent party and is going to surprise us in the general elections or he is a married man.

That has a good ring to it much like a cash register. CahChingChaChing. Who' next?

Are you trying to tell me it is official

I am finding this buzz to be more of a pesky big brother that keeps tapping me on my shoulder every time his favorite WWE superstar attempt a new choke hold or slam. Is Jayz-Z and Beyonce creating that type of annoyance or am I just envious because I am not there to perform the nuptials for Beyonce and Jay-Z? Heck I would like to run and get a quick ordination to do so. That is magic and this is awesome.

So are they getting married? I would like to know, because people, my unofficial big brother is tapping me on shoulder with the news that candelabras have arrived at the Tribeca home of King of Rap early Friday morning. Say it is so, people! An Unidentified source told people that it is just that, a great possibility for these two to be married before the weekend is up is becoming more and more a fact and less fiction. Is it really? According to People and their level of speculation, it seems possible. Here is what people had to say:

"More evidence of an impending wedding? Likely guests have been gathering in New York. Producer Rodney Jerkins, who is working on Beyoncé's new album and is a friend of Jay-Z's, zipped into town a couple of days ago. Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, are also here, coyly divulging in a YouTube video that they are camped out at a Manhattan hotel, giggling about "sisters" getting together. "

However I would like to add dont these people find themselves in NY City often? They are also saying that Jay-Z hopped a flight from Boston last night.

We will see, now wont we. My best wishes to the both of them.

The maturation of Shawn "Jay-z" Carter

The buzz is on, I thought yesterday was a total fluke that there would not be a single thing to look forward to. It was more of a question than an answer for me. Do not get me wrong I want Jay-Z and Beyonce to get married, but I figured us regular folk would not get news or witness any of it, let alone find out when they applied for a marriage license. This is Hip-Hop and R&B Royalty, when the two come together in music, it is insane, they are crazy in love and I like it.

So Jay-Z had a bachelor party huh? Sounds like a good thing, he has much to celebrate as people reported he has also touched another pot of gold in his life. Expected to be signing a lucrative deal with concert promoter Live nation, worth a whopping 150 million dollars for 10 years, that is a sports contract at its best. He is reportedly getting $25 million upfront and then $10 million per album will follow for at least 3 studio albums.

Man of Man, I wold be getting married to!

At The New York Times they have Jay-Z quoted saying, "I’ve turned into the Rolling Stones of hip-hop," which he told them and has been made into a front page story, Jay-Z is becoming the King of New York and it is not about rap anymore. He is 38 years of age and is making mature financial moves. I guess we will not get another retirement scare for at least another 10 years, if he signs the papers. Wow! Shawn "Jay-Z" Corey Carter, will be 48 years old and kicking the stage before he even put the microphone down, can you believe it. That is monumental if he does this deal.

It is phenomenal that a company can back him to do what he does best. Rappers have a short shelf life, but with his mature flow and poignant lyrical content, it is like fine wine he just gets better with age. Not to many rappers can do what he does. It is all about approach to the song, and he has an approach that is quiet, but yells loud for you to listen. He is much the old blue eyes of Hip Hop, with a taste of the greatest poets ever to master wordplay.

Possibly joining the ranks of U2 and Madonna as of last week, it is becoming apparent for real artist, Live nation is the place to be. Lets face it, the three entities are timeless at what they do.

The Maturation is in order :::: Are wedding bells soon to follow Jay and Beyonce?

The buzz is on and the bee that is carrying it is not Beyonce, it goes by the name People. Allegedly there is some fact floating around that Beyonce and Jay-Z has applied for Marriage licenses. Are they kidding me?

Word is that the celebrity couple arrived at Scarsdale Villiage Hall shortly after its opening time, on Tuesday to get their marriage papers in order. A source Stated to People, " it was just the two of them. Also that" They were very polite and smiling as they filled out the paperwork. They were holding hands for a while. The looked very happy."

I guess it is all over for Jay-Z he has left the big pimping behind and now he is stepping up to the plate of true player. It take a true gentleman to put on the ring of matrimony and play the real game. With his reputation for follow through I am sure that this will be a knot that stays tied.

With all of Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter's business ventures and highly successful entertainment history the choice for the two of them to get married would not be a hard one to make. Now would it? it is obvious that he is "crazy in love" his damn self.

Comments Welcomed!

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter Calls for Change in Miami -

Shawn" Jay-Z" Carter, hits the stage performs his hits, back to back, and then he prompts the crowd to take a brief look at the political landscape.

As pictured here he is performing and in the middle of his performance he promotes Barack Obama and his campaign for change. Encouraging his fans to go out and vote for change in this country. According to reports :

"After a few unexpected cameos by rappers Young Jeezy, Kanye West and Timbaland, a life-size photo of President George W. Bush appeared on the screen as Jay-Z asked the crowd: ”Are you ready for change?” The Bush photo was then replaced with that of Obama. Thunderous applause followed."
