Whoopi Goldberg received apology from Oscar producer over the Oscar Montage ( Alleged) Oversight
Apparently the Oscars sent a silent message to Whoopi Goldberg that her services are needed and until she comes back to hos the show, they will leave her out of more montages. Now if I can believe that I will believe in the pig that flew by my office window this morning, as I was drinking my cup of Java and Vodka.
The Oscars is a big show, that is dubbed as a flawless event showcasing the work of artist in the film industry in the past year. From those who direct, produce, design sets and costumes, sound and image editing, Acting, writing, and much more. So in the mix of that they leave out people, people that may take offenses, at the end of the show, leaving them feeling as if it is a pretentious work of snobbery.
Whoopi Goldberg is one of these people who were left out of a Montage. Along with others, feeling that she was snubbed this year by the Oscars and not acknowledged for her past service to the academy, as a 2 time host, and a recipient winner for her acting. The producer of the Oscars stated to People that it was "an absolute oversight." Also saying "no harm was intended, and I feel very, very badly that she was left out," Gil Cates said Tuesday. "I'm going to call her and tell her that."
The producer of this show is the same producer that invited her to host. This is more of a personal reaction as to why she would not be included in a montage, whether it be about hosting or the funniest moments as they say it was about. Cates continue on to say it was an " Oversight" and topping it off by saying "I asked her to be on the show. She did it twice," he said. "She is a formidable talent."
Whether it is an oversight or an act of malice we will find out over time. However I think that it is safe to say, that she was forgotten.
