More relative than not!

I was roaming the Internet and I came across something quite interesting photo so I decided to read into it a little further and come to find out there was more to Dlisted Posting. Which I thought was a gag of some sort, and come to find out it is fact. By way of Yahoo/AP, we have a what I am sure to be a brief rundown of some interesting news.

The New England Genealogical Society is working hard and coming up with some interesting finds. Remarkable connection for the three presidential candidates has been uncovered. Democratic rivals Clinton and Obama, along with McCain who is a republican are related to some interesting people in our American and world history.

You have Obama related to Brad Pitt, Clinton related to Angelina Jolie, and the list continues on. Obama often jokes about one of his relatives, and unfortunately for Barack he is cousins to Dick Cheney and he finds it kind of funny. Apparently " his Kinships are across the political spectrum," Child said. For crying out loud, he is related to Civil war General Robert E. Lee, British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill, Gerald Ford, Harry S. Truman, James Madison, And Lyndon B. Johnson.

The list seems as if it will continue on and I am sure if they have famous cousins, then many of us are related to one if not two of them.

As the Associated press reported, Clinton is related to three top billing singers which include Modanna, Alanis Morissette, and Celine Dion. Obama who is a son of a white woman and a Black man from Kenya, can call six U.S. Presidents, including George W. "fumbles" Bush and father bush. John McCain is a sixth cousin of first lady Laura Bush.

It sounds like we are living in one big ancestor, incest pool of love making and all out
f*c*ery. I am going to go and hit up Steve Jobs, Angelina Jolie( I would be mad if she were, it will cut my chances even lower- if you know what I mean), Oprah, heck I am knocking on all doors and collecting DNA.

I would like to add on the serious side of this. This is a sure sign that humanity should really take the time out to sit down and get to know one another. You may never know your entire family if you continue to snub strangers and different cultures. From what we have seen in all genealogical test, man and woman in all races and cultures, have crossed at one point or another. Our enemy is a long lost cousin or one that may need to be found.
"It shows that lots of different people can be related, people you wouldn't necessarily expect," Child said.

America and the world can live longer
if we think twice about what we do in life.
