Lil' Kim leaves Atlantic Records

Lil' Kim has decided to leave Atlantic records and branch out on her own. The rapper plans to release her yet to be titled upcoming album independently.

Last week the rapper had a guest appearance on the DJ Kay Slay radio show, which airs on Sirius satellite, Kim shared that she has no qualms with the label. However has been thinking on releasing her music independently for some time now, but maintained this fear of doing so for several years. Now that she knows more about the business, she will be able to start her own movement, and get things underway to start her project.

Now it's has a rumor behind it, statements have been made, she will join the Capitol Music Group's independent brand, Imperial Records, but as usual no one was available to comment.

The Queen Bee's upcoming album was originally slated for a February release, is now in a tentative state, which can see daylight in April or May of '08.

The Rapper has had a string of hits in the late '90's, but has maintained a lack of presence or significance in the Hip Hop World or Music in general. She is now currently feuding with fellow Female Rapper Remy Ma, formerly of Terror Squad.
