7 Pounds is a heavy weight!

I must begin this by saying this is one Christmas that I will never forget.

Never in my life have I seen a movie in which the entire audience asked the person sitting next to them did you cry. That is something that is beyond me but was warranted in every way possible. As I am sitting there with my head tilted towards the screen all I can think of is WOW and WTF for a lack of a better expression.

7 Pounds was more surprise and less filler, and that is what a film aught to be. Since I began following will smiths career I knew he had it in him to act, but this is beyond film making this is a story that can be read into and will be talked about for years to come.

The humanity in the lead character causes you to look within yourself and begs of you to ask yourself. What have you done as of late to manifest good in other? What have you done to make sure that those around you have fruitful lives? Are you doing everything in your power to give others a chance? Now I do not recommend taking things as far as he has, that is a decision that you will make all on your own. However, I do ask that you take a deep looks into your soul and grab for that which causes you to reflect, and use what you come up with to manifest good in others.

Sitting in the movie theater on Christmas day was not my goal for the day, however, there was a gift given to me that I must re-gift. The only way I know how to do this is to share my respect of this great film. It is unlike anything you have ever seen. It will go down in history and will be a classic, and it will be dissected, and if it is not by some slim margin, I will make it my duty to guarantee this film is never forgotten, you can count my words and believe that for sure.

Will Smith production company speared not ideas in this one. I see Overbrook Entertainment go as far as to being a powerhouse filled with ideas that will make the company just a famous as its head star.

See this film and realize the possibility for our and your own humanity and then pay it forward.

You must be kidding me

These three M-Fer's, got it all wrong and I do not think that this if funny in any way. First off now that we can see in living color, blacks are not black but a shade of brown in some way or another. Two African Americans will not wear mismatched brands on the same day, no Nike mixed with Adidas.

This is the most offensive thing I have some across and I must stay clear of looking for these cats and pointing them in the direction of my fist.

They are too funny actually and I hope and pray that they wake up one day from this long slumber they are in.

Movie to reconsider ::: Deep Cover

At the beginning of my movie watching career I came across a film that captivated me in every way possible. I do not know hot to explain this with out going nuts, but I must say that forever I was locked in and ready to watch every film made by Laurence "Larry" Fishburne.

Mr. Fishburne has a swagger that no other actor at the time possessed. His abilities crushed every actor around him except for Jeff Goldblum who I think has been the most underrated actor of our era, but I am not going to get into that.

Picture your father walking across the screen with a gangster swag and all the while you know it is an act. With his application of skill, as the minutes wind down in the movie, it was hard to tell which way he was headed. Not too many actors have ever played cop the way Mr. Fish {as I like to call him}, as well.

Bill Dukes effort was seemed effortless and I vote this film into the need to be on blueray hall of fame. Matter of fact I would like to see what has become of the dectective and I would like for them to place the young kid that he saved into the film as a person it centers around or as a subplot that keeps things moving in a fast paced action drama that is non stop, with a redemptive undertone.

We all know that MR. Fish can rock with the best of them. So now what Hollywood. This is a sequel waiting to happen. What did he do with all those stack he got from the bust? Lets answer that question and make it happen. Hollywood is hot right now and Black America is waiting for the next big move. This time around make it Oscar worthy and its will be on top of mind foever.

Here are some memorable quotes from the film that sticks with you:

John Hull: Gerry, what's the difference between a black man and a nigger?
Carver: What?
[John Hull punches Gerald Carver in the stomach]
John Hull: The nigger's the one that would even think about telling you.

And

David Jason: A man has two things in this world: his word and his balls. Or is that three things?

And

David Jason: With dreams begin responsibilities.

And
John Hull: We took eleven million in drug profits out of the van. The money doesn't know where it comes from, but I do. If I keep it, I'm a criminal. If I give it to the government, I'm a fool. If I try and do some good with it, maybe it just makes things worse. Either way, I'll probably just wind up getting myself in more trouble. It's an impossible choice, but in a way, we all have to make it. What would you do?

And

Taft: If somebody put a gun to your baby's head, would you try and kill them if you could? Huh? Me too. And by selling that stuff, you're putting a gun to my baby's head. Let me warn you. I'm like a mad dog after a bone. I'd be all over you like stink on doo-doo. Trust me.

Here is a pivotol scene in which you see John Hull at a cross roads:

John Hull: Gerry, I sold drugs, I've watched people die, and I didn't do nothing. I killed people. You lied to me.
Carver: They lied to me, John. How naive can you get, man? What, what, are you so stupid you can't see that? You think I like this? Huh? John, I'm sorry. Huh? It's all shit, you know. It's all bullshit. You know that. I know that.
John Hull: What the fuck am I gonna do now?
Carver: Hey, you know they're bringing me to Washington? Come along with me, man. We'll go to Washington. We'll have a budget, huh? We'll have some clout, we'll have some...
John Hull: I didn't get into this for that.
Carver: Well, neither did I. But that's all there is. They're the fucking spoils of war. You might as well enjoy it.
John Hull: Well, if that's all there is, I've been wasting my motherfucking time with you. I can get more clout and more money on the street than I can get following your ass to Washington. Know what? This whole fucking time, I'm a cop pretending to be a drug dealer. I ain't nothing but a drug dealer pretending to be a cop. I ain't gonna pretend no more, Gerry. I quit.

Here is another scene that highlights the American social landscape:

[David Jason describes a new drug. ]
David Jason: It's completely synthetic, therefore no growing, no refining, no peasants. Best of all, no international borders, no customs agents. There in that case in front of you are two detailed prospecti on marketing, anticipated cash flow, and so forth.
Hector Guzman: You racist Americans. You just want to cut us poor Hispanics completely out of the market.
David Jason: No, Mr. Guzman. I think you know that there's no such thing as an American anymore. No Hispanics, no Japanese, no blacks, no whites, no nothing. It's just rich people and poor people. The three of us are all rich, so we're on the same side.

Thoughts from John Hull:

John Hull: The jungle creed says the strongest feed / on any prey that it can / And I was branded beast at every feast / before I ever became a man.

Now to give it to you in its full glory:

You know the jungle creed
say the stongest feed
on any prey it can
and I was branded beast
at every feast
before I ever became a man.

where junkies prowl
and tigers growl
in search of that much needed blow
winos cringe
on canned heat binge
and find their graves in the snow.

Now somone, anyone tell me that this film is not a classic.

Before you do take a look at this extended poetic effort. Source unknown.

Where tigers growl.
Where beggars prowl.
In search of that much needed blow.

Where winos cringe
On a can heap binge
And find their graves in the snow.

Where ice flows through veins.
Where they float over planes.
Grasping for the grass which lies low.

Where druggies snort
White lines so short
And taunt the doubtful without sorrow.

Where dust forms lines.
Where angels in time
Sing their song of sorrow.

Where dusters lust
For a touch of that dust
And the only crystals they know.

Where dopers stray.
To a needle they pray
To give them an ounce of warm glow.

Where they shoot themselves
Full of elves,
Fairy demons and spirits from below.

Where acid rages
In rock cages
And red, polluted rivers flow.

Where thunder moans
Startling stones
Causing them to huddle low.

Where every icy breath
Exhausts impending death
And the stony walls are hollow.

The castle of white
Stands proud tonight
Knowing it will win the war.

10th Aniversary of Naked Acts

It is becoming very clear to me that I am not aware of all the films that are out there. Then again back in 1996 I was a small blip on the radar. In 1996 a film by the name of Naked Acts dropped that was a smack in the face of films and blaxploitation to be exact.

I never had the pleasure to see this film and now know that I must. Over at purple zoe it is clear that there is a prime focus on digging up the goodies. So I bring this to you with care.

I must see this film. When I do you can be sure to hear from me about it again.

Since I missed it anniversary screening I must now hunt this film. I will prey on this film with all that I have until I am able to say that I've seen it and I have a true opinion of it.

Another Wu-Tang Moment

I think of all the crews in Hip Hop history that made an impact that changed the direction of a sound. The crews that come to mind are The get Fresh Crew, NWA, and The Wu-Tang Clan. Although these crews ended up disbanding for one reason or another. They always seems to stick in your mind. Lucky for us, Rap is so hot, that my favorite crew of all time has re-banded.

So without delay. I must bring you some classics Wu-Tang videos.

Taraji P. Henson +The Curious Case of Benjamin Button = Oscar Nodds?

A must see film. I had a chance to see a private screening and I must say Taraji P. Henson has the ability to snatch words off the page, turn them into her heart, and break the boundaries of movie making and reality.

From what I hear she is the talk, and I do not have a problem adding to that talk.

Brad Pitt rocks his role in this film as well. So I am sure Oscar will be knocking down the doors of these two. If not, I will boycott the award show, who tend to jump on the bandwagon of their favorites.

Taraji was recently stopped at the SAG awards and here is what she had to say about the film.

“It’s an epic, that’s all I can say. It’s an epic. It’s like a modern-day Gone with the Wind. They don’t make films like this anymore. It’s beautiful to watch. The cinematography is going to blow you away. The message, the story… I mean, in the screenings grown men had to collect themselves before they could get up and leave. It’s one of those movies that will touch you in ways you’ve never been touched in a long time in film.”

Movie to reconsider ::: Buck and the preacher(1972)

First let me admit that I have never seen let alone heard of this movie before in my life. That reason alone is why I need to stop life and let you in on something that I just stumbled on. Buck and the preacher, has the feel of a western, with the soul of a movement.

As I write this I am watching this movie and as always I am jacked in, which explains why you are getting this live and direct(something like that.)

Instead of giving you the live play by play. I Want to get into the real life aspect of producing such a film in the early seventies. Here you have Harry Belafonte slinging guns, behind thumping a Bible. It gets no better than that. However this is 1972 and African American were making their way into the film world with works of their own, but substance was as it is today an issue. Resons being studios were not backing them as they should have been.

So stumbling onto this film from an era like the 70's, which was bombarded with blaxploitation films
and week plots was an amazing moment in time. I was under the impression that nothing else existed in the decade but tits, ass, gangsters and guns slinging, now don't forget the bad dialogue.

As this film progress, I have a new found respect for the western and Sidney Poitier. Ruby Dee grabs my heart with her lines. With the taste of slavery still on their tounges, for instance" I want to have a child with you buck, but it aint going to be here, If they wont have us in Canada, I Will go the the edge of the water." It gets no better than that. Might I add that she ripped the scene with the heart of Oscar.

Without dragging this on for miles as you know I can. I want you to go out and get you hands on this film. Add it to the collection, rent, or borrow, I do not care any which way, as long as you go out to see this film.

I have to give thanks to artist such as Erykah Badu. She makes her art come to life. It is as if, it is done, from a soul none of us can capture. She allows herself to let go and give. Good Ole Tom Foolery ::: Hacking E-mail and F'ing off

This dude is so lame. This is one reason why I started my own movement. No one can tell me what to do, how to do it, and in this case get in my way if they don't get their way.

Here are some thoughts from this weeks headlines.

The former “Access Hollywood” anchor described his early relationship with Lane as “flirtatious, unprofessional and improper” but said it soured after his wife, local Fox anchor Dawn Stensland, learned about it. The twice-divorced Lane, 36, vehemently denies any impropriety and has sued him for invasion of privacy and on other grounds.

The pair anchored the evening newscasts on KYW from 2004 to January, when Lane was fired after a Dec. 16 arrest in New York following a late-night scuffle with police. The charges were later dropped as part of a pretrial diversion program. She has a wrongful-termination suit pending against KYW.

Mendte leaked privileged e-mails about her criminal case to the press, and prosecutors say he is the only plausible source of damaging leaks concerning a swimsuit photo she sent a friend, married TV sports anchor Rich Eisen.

Mendte was fired in June, after the FBI searched his home and office.

“My role at the station was still being diminished when Alycia told me during an argument on the set that she (was) the rising star and that I was ‘50 and on my way out,”‘ Mendte said after his Aug. 22 plea to a single-count information.

“I felt I was in trouble,” he continued. “My career, my future, my family’s future was in trouble. And, this is where I got into more trouble — federal trouble.”

Mendte has two young children with Stensland and two older children from an earlier marriage. He earned $700,000 at KYW-TV, while Lane’s salary had zoomed past his to $780,000, according to her lawyer, Paul Rosen.

The FBI began investigating Mendte in the spring, when a station employee stumbled upon a computer that was logged into Lane’s private e-mail account — nearly two months after she was fired.

Diddy "I Am King"

I am sure to get the fragrance! But let me state something to Diddy. Slow down and just coast.

Home collection candidate :::: Twilight

It is rocking the movie theaters and it has taken every high school girl and turned her into a raving lunatic for its star. However it is more than just a hit, it is a compelling peace of work that you can dissect and read into as much as you like. Factors that always make for good home viewing.

So when this drops on Blu-Ray and DVD I will be adding it to the collection.

Movie to reconsider ::: Back In The Day

It seems in 2005 Ja-Rule was somewhere attempting a comeback as rapper. What he should have been focusing on was promoting this film. Not too many people caught wind of this film( unless you watch BET 24/7) , which should have had a wider audience.

My feelings towards this film is simple. Ving Rhames, is the undisputed champion or the world when it comes to acting chops. He has more range than steve Nash on fire, and Michael Phelps on Red Bull. ALongside him was Ja-Rule a budding actor with a bad rep in the music game. Talk about transfering the pain from one area to the other. It was well done for a full length feature film.

With that you end up with two actors playing off of one another until the final product is filled with realism and grit. Although I admit the production is lame, and the director did not have the vision to make this what it could have been. The lighting was not edgy enough and it did not match the mood they were aiming for. The editing was choppy, and the overal production was childs play. Underneath it all if you have the eyes to see, and are willing to remake this film you will end of with an epic story of what it is like growing up on the fence.

So I do recommend somone save this film from the bargain bin and obscurity.

Here is what the actor had to say when interviewed about his sex Scene with Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum Tatyana Ali. "It's a little awkward. They try to keep it so you're as comfortable as possible, but even with closed sets it's still 10 people there. And Tatyana's mom and her aunt were there. It made my job a little harder."

The heat did not stop there, Ja Stated, "My wife didn't like that one. She wasn't there for the sex scene."

More on the films debut back in 2005

A good day to be black and Sexy

This winter season many of the best movies come to the screen, that are worthy of critical acclaim and your attention. This is grown folk time. Subject matter that has the ability to put a mirror in front of us and force us to look at ourselves.

A good day to be black and sexy is one such film. It is raw ferocity at its best, a film, that is an artistic presentation that is both sexy and troubling. Do not let the title take you away from the film if you feel you do not fit the tan. This film is about so much more.

Enterpolics is going back To Multi Culteral

Enterpolics took a turn for the segregationist who love America to be that way. For that I apologize. I did not set out to create a virtual rag that focused on one group of people. What I set out to do was to create a blog that represented all people. From culture, to race. I thought originally that this task was an easy one. Oh how wrong I was.

If you went back to my earlier post you would realize that it began as a place that all things were open to my critique. However a change came about within me personally that led me to believe I needed to expose more brown that pink. Well this is no longer the case, within my heart. So do not be pissed as me for the changes that will come in the coming weeks.

I want this blog to represent the world that I live it. Day and day out! It is important to represent myself and the world that I see.

So I will not only talk about African American Subject matter in its condenced format. I Will talk about American culture as it is, and not as I we think it is. I know for sure that once I begin things will begin to brighten.

Welcome to the true Enterpolics!

Notorious B.I.G. Exclusive Movie Clip: CHOREOGRAPHY

What will it take for Black Hollywood to fight for real roles

There has been a question that has been on my mind for the latter part of the last 10 years. Although I see things changing and advances have been made I would like to know what will it take for African American Hollywood to begin the real fight. By producing and acting in films that matter to the people.

I am not denouncing the comedies and the dramas that we have seen as of late. I am a fan of effort. I would like to see that effort bring to fruition a finished products that can contend with the heavy weights. When that happens we will be able to see films not as black Hollywood or White Hollywood, but sit down and enjoy piece of an American Story, as America is.

Help me on this. Please discuss.

Racism will become more prevalant

As the days roll on I realize that racism will become more prevalent in the American communities. I have this feeling that there will be a nasty backlash of hate crimes that will cross the line and leave you wondering if the line was crossed. However that may be there will be violations due to those who are going to clearly unpack their bags and let out the baggage, onto unsuspecting victims.

Take for instance this case down at NC State.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The North Carolina NAACP wants North Carolina
State University to expel four students accused of painting racist
messages about President-elect Obama on campus.

School Chancellor
James Oblinger held a closed-door meeting Wednesday with NAACP
President Rev. William Barber to discuss the graffiti in the campus
free expression tunnel.

Barber wants an official response within 48 hours. Oblinger says both sides have agreed to move forward.

Four
students admitted spray-painting the messages, including one that used
a racial slur and suggested shooting Obama in the head.

Officials
have said the unidentified students won't face criminal charges because
the writing wasn't a hate crime since it was written on a wall where
free speech is encouraged.

Should Master P rethink the name of his new broadcasting station?

The other day I was speaking with a few friends and we ended up in this debate about Master P( P. Miller to be PC about it), and the discussion led to his new venture that is taking off in 2009, BBTV. Better Black Television. My friends were proud of the new move and so was I. However the name of the station was troubling to me. For reasons that I hope many would agree. The name of the network is not needed to bring the concept to life. I know that that African Americans needs a place for positive programming, but I think the name of the station should be different that the proposed name.

The chosen name does nothing for Blacks but stick us in to a conceptual corner. You do not see a station called better white TV. So why do we have to settle for such a segregationist move in name titling? I personally think that the station should have a new name with the same focus. I know his goal is to provide better programming for the Black community. However for it to be taken serious in the world of broadcasting it should have a universal station name. Perhaps Miller Broad casting( PMBC, MBC, PBC, or MPBC). It will provide it with a sense of class and it will have a better chance of coming out of the box.

This is all just a thought. However I may sound about it, I am behind the move 100% and not a point less.

So people what do you think about the new station name? Talk to me and let me know. We only have a few months before it launches.

What does the Obama Victory mean for entertainment?

As Barack Obama took the win over John McCain Tuesday night, I began to think about all the possibilities that opened up. Of course I thought first about the working man, education, and the free world policies that exist. However when the dust settled I wanted to know what does this mean for people of color in the entertainment industry, mainly in Movies and Television?

I know we have seen African American presidents, CEO's, and other position of power and prestige. But the question is more about the quality and quantity of the films that would showcase this image freely.

Now that America has chosen Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, and Forest Whitaker to name a few, as the men to represent a people and a the dollars at the box office.

My question is will the big wigs begin to bring our stories to the screen without bias. No longer segregating the stories and adding momentum to the amount of productions that we see in a given year.

  1. So what does this win mean for African Americans? I have thought long and hard about this one. Here is a list of things that may be applicable to the new state of American Affairs.
  2. Possible we may see better quality of movies produce with African Americans in respectable roles with out stereotypical characters that are old and outdated.
  3. The Wayans Brothers can continue to do what they do without African American feeling threatened by the images the portray.
  4. Morgan Freeman will get a chance to take a vacation and allow someone else to do the more serious roles. ( That is if the man has the ability to take a break.)
  5. The CW will have to find better writers. However Mara Brock Akil will step up her game with this new found pride and possible produce another hit show, that will for sure cross over.
  6. More African American Shows that can bring back the Cosby Vision.
  7. Bill Cosby may even put in one last film or TV effort, coming out of retirement with this new found pride.
  8. Spike Lee will have stronger stories and his cousin Malcolm D. Lee will stop making crap- tastic films.
  9. Rappers will have to upgrade their music to fit the times.
  10. R&B may make a come back, fused with rock and Hip Hop.( I know that it never left, but come on it is not supported due to lack of something.)
  11. A fusion of stories, music, and art will be that much more visible to the world.
  12. Gossip Bloggers may actually talk bad about everyone because everyone is hot on the global scale.
The rest is to be told.......! This is all speculation. But wouldn't you want to see this happen. Let me know or add to the list what is possible.

As they feel over at All Hip Hop, this song is hot but poorly timed. Folks don't get mad at this guy I think he forgot about what we are all going through.

Akon man I love what you do, but please next song better redeem your lack of awareness.

I will be banging this in the ride on my way to work though.

Dres of Black Sheep remakes 'The Choice Is Yours'

I am digging this one. Now go out and vote we have only two days left to change the world and a country that is in need of a redemptive stoke and a breath of fresh air.

The Official opinion ::: Cuba Godding Jr.

Actors come and actors go in the tough game of Hollywood. The ones that stay have few options unless they had a string of hits that garnered huge success. Then you have the anomaly that goes by the name of Cuba Gooding Jr.. This guy does what the fuck he wants to do or it is becoming painfully clear that H-town no longer wants to see his mug on the big screen as a lead role. Which is it? Or is it something totally different than that of obvious. With a string of home movie classics it is safe to say that Mr. Gooding is an actor worth every dollar put behind him. However why the straight to video career. Does it make sense to do it this way? Is there more money involved? Does Cuba have a following that guarantees him the money he seeks? I seek to answer these questions.

Let's take a look at his latest film first to get an idea of the man, the myth, the legend. Linewatch is a hardcore look into a mans life and the affects his past can have on him. When he is hit with a propasitional chance of redeeming his past he is caught between a promising future and a past that causes him to lose sleep at night. Will he lose control? Does this make up fore something huge from the old past of his life?

This role may seem cliche, tried and tested, but the stroy is being told for once with honesty and with actors who can play the roles without the cheese covered dialouge that leeds nowhere. Films like that leave you wanting more or wishing that you never sat down to watch it in the first place. Linewatch is not one of those films and it will have you in suspense once you get past the initial slow start.

Although Cuba does not say much in this movie, he ads something to the role that very few actors can and that is that little extra that is missing on the faces of so many actors. That intensity can be taught but it is those who believe in it that make the roles come to life. Which leads me to ask the question again. Why straight to video?

Watch the trailor and I will be back next week with more of an aswer to this breaking questions.

Notorious Trailer

This is one well put together Trailer or this film will be talked about for a very long time to come. The questions is in the statement. Is this film going to be the missing piece the public needs to see BIG or is it a foul mess to capitalize on a great? We will see. So far I love the trailer.

Movie to Reconsider :: The Other Brother

Mekhi Phifer is one hardworking thespian. Once he got on he did not stop, he kept his momentum by attacking everything that he wanted to and with force and vigor. What is most important to aknowledge here is the simple fact that this film was a far stretch from the characters that we expected of him. A Nerdy Brother with no understaning of what to do with a women. For me it was  step  back and I totally got is in terms of his work and his career.

I want everyone to talk about this film, as it should be talked about. Heck I want to here someone mention it at least. This is one of those under the radar gems that we so soon forget because it was not big enough in terms of budget, the script may have had its holes but doesnt everything. Art is not perfection it is an account of life. These days we are looking for art so that we can immitate is in our realities. Well if this is the case contrite as this may sound this film offers you an opportunity to immulate and apply no levels to your character.

So start the search and head out and get your hands on the other brother. Ladies I am sure it would allow you a look at the guys from a different perspective while getting a laugh out of it.

A wise thought to think about over the weekend :::: Yoda

Yoda “Do or do not... there is no try.”

For the past month as I watched my readers dwindle along with the economy I realized that I needed to restructure my blog to fit who I am as a writer and also as an observer of the world around me. I came to this conclusion while watching Star Wars all the way through from episode 1 through 6.

However the above scene sticks with me and I can not let it go. It is a true fact that we all must live by. Not forgetting that what we have learned may not be the information to lead us to our destiny. We must re brand our lives and begin from awareness not from scratch.

So take this thought that I share and think about it. When the time is right you will know when to apply and to what. Good luck and have a great weekend.

Disecting the New Hollywood ::: Jamie Hector

Every movie watching, sofa sitting observer in this country has  a handful of actors that they are hoping hit it big. These actors have something that not too many other actors have. That is appeal and skill, with the two in combination with actual talent to deliver, they are undeniably and arguably the next to break big.

What they apply to their characters in each story that they are given is something unique and should not and can not go unnoticed. As of recent years I think Hollywood is getting it and has finally taken the steps to make sure that they receive every red cent from a talent pool that has a wealth of artist with abilities that are frighteningly better than average.

To start off my quest to search for the next bank breakers. I have one who got his start on one crime drama or another. So with out further Ado allow me the pleasure to re establish the next Hollywood bank roll.

Jamie Hector better known as 'Marlo' from "The Wire" brings to the table an edge that is so sharp it cuts the audience and opens a womb to allow in the abilities of application. When I first came across his character portrayals I was not that convinced, however as time progressed I realized something that I could not ignore. This guy can actually act.

Some may down play those who act tough on film are just applying aggression of some sort and that is supposed to be the write off. However when you see the range that it takes to add a story behind the person, you begin to fall in to each layered level of the character. Jamie Hector brings you those layers along with the essence of who he is. Actors that do this are not just collecting a check on image they are serious about what they do and they get it done.

Here are some clips of his work, his interviews and a peak at his current movie with Mark Wahlberg, Max Payne.

Movie to Reconsider ::: Disappearing Acts (2000)

Before the inevitable rise to straight to video movies with the ultimate Afro Black Belt Wesley Snipes and the here one minute gone the next appearances of Sanaa Lathan. We had a movie by the name of Disappearing Acts.

Real Love Real Life. Is the simplest way to put such a complex film in the market. With two individuals struggling to make the day and make the ends meet. Fall head over heals for one another with out the cheesy music and the often add comedic effects. This time around you get a real taste of what inner city love deals with and the complexities that come with it.

Sanaa Lathan and Wesley Snipes give 100% to this film and it shows in every scene. I say give the film another shot and let it breath. Perhaps you will be able to take something away from it as well.

TRUE WORDS ::: DEAD PREZ 'HIP HOP'

Dead Prez "Hip Hop" is a classic that many have overlooked. But the true soldiers who have been paying attention know exactly what I getting across here. It is important that we take into account this piece of history. Not only for Hip Hop to continued growth, but for the minds of those who listen to it Black and White, and every other color in the center of the contrast.

AS THE GAME GOES :

Let me tell you a little story. The other day I am driving down Mill Ave, out here in Tempe Arizona. The top is down because it was the first cool day of the fall and our summers are hot, but the other three seasons are the best the country has to offer. Anyway, As I pass the pool hall Mill Q I realize that these two college kids were listening to some trash hop, you know that new garbage, they try to pass of as hip hop, with lame lyrical content. Now it is ok to have veriety but this shit, was not making the cut. It took no talent whatsoever. Yes it was catchy but the artist was some new comer to the game that is copying the formula but forgot to add the talent. That is the problem, they are copying instead of creating. They are doing it for the cash instead of for the love of it. They are not pushing themselve, they are just working hard at being lazy.

Listen to the vets we need the contrast of all sides.

And

And

I had to bring these videos back to the forefront.BET although I loathe them at times this was important and well executed. Although it was an execution of HIP HOP in its entirety. Which caused those with a mind to think even less of the entire genre.

I AM TIRED OF THE SAME OLD SCENARIO MOTHER FUCKERS! STOP BUYING TRASH LIKE THIS SO THAT THE TRUE WRITERS ARE GETTING THERE DUE.

I am not done yet!

Rick Ross comes clean

As the story goes on. This may not be the only rapper with shit in the closet. So before anyone judges the man. Think about yourself and those around you that you love and loathe. Them to may have a complex life. Don't we all?!

Here is what Rick Ross had to say:

“I never tried to hide my past! I put my name inside all my CDs. My company has my SS #. I could’ve put a company name,” Ross tells the magazine. “I done been up and I done been down and that’s what make me who I am. I never ratted on a nigga! I never prosecuted a nigga! I never locked up a nigga that is first and foremost,” he continues. I always felt that me being the nigga I am, I never owed a nigga an explanation. When I’m making my music and I’m talking about blow, it’s because I did it. When I say that I’m rich off of cocaine, it’s because I did it. Those are the street principles that apply.”

Usher heats it up a bit and his wife is cool with it

To lighten the mood around here or heat it up I bring you ushers new joint.

Enjoy!

Here is what his old lady had to say:

A risque portrayal of seductive role reversal, the video shows the 29-year-old singer in compromising positions with a lithe, lightly dressed video vixen who unabashedly woman-handles a boxer-clad Usher.
Although little is left to the imagination, Foster Raymond, who is expecting the couple’s second child, stands by her man. “My husband is a consummate artist and entertainer,” Foster, 37, told ESSENCE.com. “This video is strictly entertainment and was made for his fans. I am clear that he is a sexy man and looks amazing in this clip. I support my husband in his endeavors.”
It’s been alleged that the video had to undergo several edits before being deemed appropriate for television. Most can’t recall Usher ever appearing so sexually aggressive on-screen during his bachelor days. Many blogs have hand-slapped Usher for his overt display of affection and question whether a married father and founder of a nonprofit youth foundation should conduct himself a bit more conservatively. Ironically, some of these same naysayers crucified him for choosing to be an honorable family man by marrying the mother of his child, whom he’s repeatedly defended.
Perhaps Usher has decided to remind the masses of his sex-symbol status by force-feeding the fantasies of his female fans. Whatever the reason, the public court has apparently ruled that one of ATL’s finest is damned if he does take a stand as a family man, and damned if he doesn’t.

I never thought I would see the day that McCain would defend Obama

*** I AM ABOUT TO SHOW MY ASS ****

There is not much that I can say to this, simply for the fact that it speaks for itself. For me to add to this would take away from it. However I would like to say one thing. I am most pleased with the fact that it has been put out there and in the front. Maybe just maybe we will see an election where people actually go out and do there homework.

This election may actually force voters to go out there do real background checks and not this bullshit he said she said crap. They may actually go out judge for themselves and not amongst the group of KKK members or desperate house grannies. This is what has been taking place and it is not allowing either candidate a fair evaluation.

America Wake the Fuck up!

A binge on Blair Underwood plus a book to read

I have this annoying friend who calls me every time she is watching a movie with Blair Underwood. The problem with that is that she tends to tell me,all the things she thinks about him. How she would bleep and bleep every par of the guy. Now that is fine and what not. But there is a significant problem with that. The problem with is that, she is married.

Now she is not the only women with that problem. It seems that this guy is some sort of classic in the game. A special fixture that pops up every now and then just to make women salivate for an hour or two.

So I just wanted to say to the women out there, for your own good 'Get over it!!!'

Just so that you can here is a binge of some of his best work.

Several months ago I took the liberty to pick up a book that happened to catch my attention in the book store. As I am walking into Barnes and Noble, I realize there is a book by the name of Casanegra. Once I opened I could not put it down. It was filled with mystery and erotic touches that would take you into the world of its characters.

I recommend that you see this book and not because it is written for the black audience but because it is giving you a chance look into a world of intrigue filled with color and heart.

I cant wait for the film to drop on this one!

** I will keep you posted.

TAALAM ACEY is beyond that of the everyday poet. This particular short is very true and must be heard around the globe. It embodies all that Enterpolics was meant to and then some.

A Short ::: Diary of aTired Black Man

This is a short starring Jimmy Jean -Louis of Heroes, that has some age on it. However its age, it maintains its relevance. Due to the issues in the African American community mainly among the women who become enraged when they find a black man with a white woman.

This disagreeing rage come from deep and must be explained and dealt with carefully and I an not going to do that here. However I would like to bring you the observations and the art that depict these moments.

Here is a piece of Allison Keyes Aritcle :::

First-time filmmaker Tim Alexander, who enjoys being provocative, says there's a disease out there that he calls the "angry black woman syndrome." He says it must be identified, diagnosed and treated.

Alexander believes African-American women who grew up in fatherless homes, hearing their aunts and grandmothers saying black men are no good — and hearing that opinion reinforced in the media — are now angry adult women.

"They grow up, deal with the wrong men, finally meet the right guy and don't know how to turn it off," Alexander says. "They are so used to fighting; it's the only way they know to have a relationship. So when a man is a good man, they think he's a punk."

Read the reast of what Allison Keyes has to say on this issue in her 2006 article titled Movie Clips Stirs Debate Over Black Relationships.
